How long have you been in business?
39 years. (Since 1979)
What is your primary product or service?
We sell business information systems - accounting systems and software, inventory control and tracking, sales tracking, marketing and customer service systems, financial analysis packages. We sell Sage 300 and Sage 50 the most, but we also support other packages such as QuickBooks, Peachtree, and other Sage accounting systems. We also do IT Services and Support using the MSP model, where we charge a fixed amount per workstation per month.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My background is as a scientist and programmer. I got my training in analyzing and enhancing systems and software that way. But I have always been interested in business and how to make it better.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We have a very quick response to emergencies, and a high touch, high quality customer service approach that focuses on the customer rather than on selling software.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one location, but our employees sometimes work from home so that gives us more coverage east of the Fox River.We might expand but that would be at least one year out.
